This 6-Second TikTok Sort Of Changed Our Life
Hint: Country club … but in a good way.
by The Candidly Team
We are always on the hunt for extra lazy ways to look chic.
Looking “styled” is just not worth the amount of time and brain power that most TikTokers and influencers expect us to have when it comes to getting dressed.
But a 6-second tip that’s so easy and so obvious that we can’t imagine how we never knew about it til now. THAT we can appreciate.
We recently stumbled upon such a tip in this TikTok video, and we swear it has changed our lives. We’re 67% chicer because of it. We swear.
Okay, you ready? Watch this:
So, so easy right? A tied sweater is one of those things we always thought were just for movie characters and French women who seem to have learned to tie a silk scarf in utero. But surely not for us.
But we swear after doing this trick a couple times ourselves, it’s actually easier than the video makes it look. You don’t even have to pull your first arm out before pulling the other strap through, and poof, it’s perfectly tied. You’re coiffed. You’re styled. You’re the lady on the street you always envy because she seems to have her whole outfit and closet and life perfectly together.
Here are just a few examples of outfits one of us created with this trick this week.
Obviously any sweater works, but we like to use THIS $50 cashmere pullover (we actually bought the men’s version for extra spaciousness and coze) because the minute we feel a nip in the air or the weather changes for the 37th time that day, we can slink into it and feel like we’ve been given a warm, chic hug.
This concept also works beautifully with a solid top and striped sweater. THIS one from Kule is softer than anything on this planet by the way:
Isn’t it just the dumbest, easiest thing you’ve ever seen? So much more put-together than just a top and pants. So much less clunky than a scarf. We can’t believe we didn’t learn about this sooner. Needless to say, we had to spread the word.
At The Candidly, we try a lot of stuff so you don’t have to. We only recommend things we truly love, and that we think you’ll love, too. All products are chosen independently by our creative team, and all details reflect the price and availability of products at the time of publication. If you buy something we link to, The Candidly may earn a commission.
We have to eat.
