This article is part of our series called "People We Like," in which we highlight interesting women, across all walks of life.

Leaders, great cooks, doctors, parents, writers; people who inspire us.

Today, we’re highlighting Jennie Yoon, founder and CEO of Kinn Studio, maker of some of the most lovely, modern, fine jewelry our eyes have ever seen.

The Candidly Questionnaire

1. What’s your most compelling quality?

I’m loyal, compassionate, and reliable. A true virgo.

2. What’s your worst quality, according to your friends?

I’m critical, particular and stubborn. A true virgo.

3. What’s an overrated value you don’t buy into?

Loyalty. There are different ways to look at this. But in running a business, you have to look at the employees who aren’t performing and need to make difficult decisions.

When you’re also representing those who work within the organization, as well as the outside of the organizations (i.e. stakeholders), sometimes you find yourself in a sticky situation where your loyalty is in question.

4. How do you feel about cilantro?

A necessity to anything bland—rice, noodles, lettuce wraps, avocado.

5. Are essential oils anything?

During a time like now, where our stress and anxiety levels are running at an all-time high, I’m a believer in herbal treatments. I could go for a sandalwood remedy right now.

6. What's the most effective beauty trick you know?

Water and uninterrupted sleep in a completely dark room, or with an eye mask. I appreciate this even more as a new mom.

7. How do you get your self-esteem?

A solid workout + eating clean + surrounding myself with good company (occasionally over a good glass of wine or two).

8. What meal can you make the hell out of?

Fried rice and Korean BBQ (marinated by me).

9. What’s your favorite item of clothing you own?

My dad’s vintage Hugo Boss blazer.

10. How do you handle conflict?

I sit back and analyze first, then I weigh out the pros and cons, and find a way to move on—whether that’s facing it head-on, or walking away from it.

11. What idea has really challenged you in the last year?

Being a mother.

12. What Insta account speaks to you deeply?

@rainbowsalt, but also @mytherapistsays.

13. What quote or phrase has stayed with you?

Work on the hardest thing first. There is no such thing as a success shortcut.

14.  What’s your favorite movie from the last ten years?

So many! I love every Star Wars and Marvel film. Also, 12 Years A Slave, The Social Network, and Mission Impossible.

15. What forms of therapy have changed your relationship to yourself?

Working out, and meditation.

16. What’s the most delicious bite of food you’ve ever had?

Uni sushi.

17. Is social media ruining our brains?

I think so, but you can’t completely shut it out.

18. Describe your actual bedtime routine.

Walk Olof, my St. Bernard, put my daughter to bed, then I have a full facial routine that I go through.

As of late, I’ve been re-watching Grey’s Anatomy from the beginning, so I’ll have it on in the background.

After that, I check the phone for news, and my calendar for the next day, check the weather, then I’ll watch a little bit more of my show, then I’m off to bed.

19.  What’s your relationship with bangs?

Yikes.
