Amy Leisner is a Long Beach-based freelance writer who covers wellness for The Candidly. She was born and raised in Wisconsin, and somehow after living on the west coast for over a decade still has her Wisconsin accent. She has a background in dance and spent over five years as a traveling preschool dance teacher. Learning how to grow her classes introduced her to marketing, which lead her to a degree in advertising, and the discovery of copywriting. Amy was an agency copywriter for advertising, social media, and digital marketing before leaving #agencylife to run her own full-time freelance business. She loves to travel with her husband, take long walks listening to podcasts, is a first-time mom, and the author of the children’s book “Here Comes Sandy Claus: The Launch of Christmas Eve.”
